A heartwarming novel...a welcome addition to the genre.
JH Fletcher, bestselling Australian author
Have just read Homestead on the River by Rosie Mackenzie. Brilliant story of love, hurt & betrayal. Guaranteed page turner which you will find extremely hard to put down.
I have just finished Homestead on the River by Rosie Mackenzie and absolutely loved it. I can't find any more by this author. I hope she writes another one soon.
Just finished an ARC of The Homestead on the River by Rosie Mackenzie - otherwise known as Rosemary Peterswald - fantastic book
Finished The Homestead on the River and it was one of the best books I have ever read. Thank you so much Rosie. Looking forward to more of your books in the future.
I was so mesmerised by the beauty of the story. Kathleen and her daughter Lillie are the main characters and are strong, warm and believable but not perfect, having their own problems and flaws but written with such empathy and precision. The writing is so descriptive and detailed right down to the most minuscule thing. I could picture everything that happened and everything around the characters, as well as the setting. I love the way Rosie writes, I felt myself remembering things like the "laminex table" and "aluminium milkshake container" even the atmosphere like "a couple of girls parted the plastic strips that hung in the doorway to keep the flies out", I found it so magical. It is a big read with just over 500 pages but I never had a dull moment and I did partly guess the twist but it's one story I will find hard to part with. I now eagerly await Rosie's next book and I'm hoping it's here sooner rather that later.

Absolutely loved it. How the story ended had me feeling blessed to have been apart of the O'Sullivan's world.
